Dakota may be the most polite kid I have ever worked with.  We walked around the park for a few shots then headed across the street to a fallen down silo. (Only in a farming community do kids get their Senior pics taken near silos).

Dakota it was a pleasure to work with you and I wish you the best!

I’ve had a lot of different sessions this year; demo cars, football, fancy car,  high heels, volleyballs……and a bull rider.  When David’s mom and I first started talking about his session I told her right up no amount of money would get me in a ring with a bull.  I’m a farm girl, but I’m meant to stay away from a bull.

In all seriousness David’s session at the chutes turned out great.  We even discussed some of the my favorite PBR riders who are now retired.

This was one of my favorites from his session and it was by accident. It was between shots and I had to re-meter my camera and this test image came out perfectly.

Be on the lookout for this kid!! He’s going to make a name for himself in the bull ring.

Bull riding isn’t his only talent. David is also a very good wrestler.

Twenty-nine degrees out the day we decided to have Chase’s Senior session.  We had put it off two other times because of bad winds so it was now or never.  Even though it was miserably cold Chase was a good sport.  We’d take a few pictures then bundle him up or jump in the running car.  We had a good time despite the cold.

Christine is another one of my friends’ kids that just can’t be old enough for Senior pictures.

This is probably my favorite picture I’ve taken in my almost 3 years in business.

She didn’t know this old grain truck would go so well with her clothing choice!  Holz_0406

I was squatting down in a ditch for this shot and realized I’d knelt in a sticker patch.  Dangers of the job!

I told her serious face and this is what I got!

Christine you are beautiful inside and out and I am so blessed to have been able to take your pictures.  Congrats to you!

I was so honored when Karly wanted to be a Senior Rep for Carrie Towns Photography.  She’s beautiful, smart, a good athlete and a farm girl what more could I ask for?

Her session was the first for the class of 2014.

When you are a Senior Rep you can have two sessions. Your first one in the summer which is the big one with hair & makeup and then a mini session in the fall. For her mini we went went to the high school gym and went with the volleyball theme.

I have been so blessed to have been a friend of Randi’s mom for a long time. So when she asked about Randi’s Senior pictures I couldn’t believe it.  It was yesterday that little Randi was running around wanting to hold my hand and now she’s going off to college. Where does the time go.

I am one lucky photographer to have such great clients. Madison and her mom drove three hours for their session. Then they turned around afterwards and headed the three hours home. Sure makes me feel good to have clients like them in my corner!

She told me she hates dresses….Really….You are beautiful my dear!!

Not only was her mom along for this session, but her super ornery Grandpa too.  We may have had to take some giggle breaks.
